Acrodont Industrial Group is a dedicated petroleum storage tank specialist — we do not build roads, buildings, or bridges. Every service we offer is engineered around the safe, compliant, and efficient containment of gasoline, diesel, crude oil, and other petroleum products. From a single horizontal AST to a multi-tank terminal farm, we are your single point of accountability.

Tank Engineering

Tank Design & Engineering

Our in-house engineering team handles all mechanical, structural, and foundation design for petroleum storage tanks. We produce stamped engineering drawings, shell plate calculations, wind and seismic load analysis, and full API 650 design packages.

  • Vertical fixed-roof and floating-roof tank design
  • Horizontal AST engineering (UL-142 / UL-2085)
  • Foundation and soil settlement analysis
  • Nozzle, manway, and fitting layout
  • Seismic and wind load calculations per API 650 Annex E
API 650 UL-142 ASME ASCE 7
Tank Construction

New Tank Construction

We self-perform all aspects of above-ground storage tank construction — from ground-breaking to hydrotest and commissioning. Our certified welders, certified weld inspectors (CWI), and API tank inspectors are on-site throughout every project phase.

Products Stored
  • Gasoline & High-Octane Blends
  • Diesel & Biodiesel
  • Crude Oil & Condensate
  • Jet Fuel (Jet-A / AvGas)
  • Fuel Oil & Residual Products
  • LPG & NGL (pressure vessel scope)
API 650 NFPA 30 EPA SPCC
Floating Roof Systems

Floating Roof Systems

Floating roof tanks are required for volatile petroleum products including gasoline and light crude. We design and construct both internal floating roofs (IFR) and external floating roofs (EFR) with primary and secondary seal systems for maximum vapor control and EPA compliance.

  • Pontoon-type and double-deck external floating roofs
  • Full-contact and skin-and-pontoon IFR systems
  • Primary & secondary seal installation (mechanical shoe, wiper, foam-filled)
  • Rolling ladder, gauge pole, and gauger platform supply & fit
  • Vapor recovery line integration
API 650 Annex C EPA 40 CFR Part 63
Tank Inspection

Inspection & Rehabilitation

Existing tanks degrade over time due to corrosion, settlement, and operational wear. Our API 653-certified inspectors assess tank integrity and our construction crews execute all repair scopes — shell plate replacement, floor reconstruction, nozzle repairs, and coating renewal.

Inspection Methods
  • API 653 out-of-service & in-service inspection
  • Ultrasonic thickness (UT) scanning — shell & floor
  • Magnetic Flux Leakage (MFL) floor scanning
  • Vacuum box testing & hydrostatic testing
  • Settlement survey & fitness-for-service (FFS) assessment
  • Remaining life calculations & RBI planning
API 653 API 510 API 579
Secondary Containment

Secondary Containment & Bunding

Environmental protection is non-negotiable in petroleum storage. We design and construct concrete and earthen bund walls, liner systems, sump pits, and stormwater management infrastructure to contain spills and meet EPA SPCC and state environmental regulations.

  • Reinforced concrete bund wall construction
  • HDPE and geomembrane liner installation
  • Sump, drain valve, and stormwater system design
  • SPCC Plan preparation support
  • Impoundment sizing per NFPA 30 and EPA 40 CFR 112
EPA SPCC NFPA 30 40 CFR 112
Tank Farm Development

Tank Farm & Terminal Development

For clients requiring complete terminal infrastructure, we deliver full turnkey tank farm projects — coordinating all engineering disciplines, civil works, tank construction, piping, fire suppression, electrical, instrumentation, and final commissioning under a single contract.

Included Scope
  • Site survey, geotechnical investigation, and layout
  • Multi-tank API 650 construction & commissioning
  • Transfer piping, manifolds, and pump skid installation
  • Gauging, level, and temperature instrumentation
  • Fire suppression (foam system) per NFPA 11 & NFPA 15
  • Electrical, lighting, and earthing & bonding
